The 31-year-old was found dead Friday afternoon, the county prosecutor said.
A 31-year-old Easton woman was found dead after apparently committing suicide at a Phillipsburg railroad trestle Friday, according to the Warren County Prosecutor's Office.
The victim was identified as Nicole Leanne Smith, of the 400 block of Northampton Street, Prosecutor Richard Burke said Tuesday.
Phillipsburg police were called about 3:15 p.m. Friday to the trestle near Market Street for a report of a woman hanging from the span, Burke said. She had a wire around her neck and was dead when police arrived, he said.
The prosecutor said no foul play is suspected. The investigation, including toxicology testing, is ongoing.
